Two crossed horse heads (gable cross) present trademark of Raiffeisen organisation. This is the sign of protection designed to symbolise safety under the same roof.

Gable cross originates from the folk tradition well known throughout Europe and its roots may be found a hundred years ago.

It used to be attached to the roof gable of houses and was supposed to protect its inhabitants against all outside dangers.

In some areas this tradition lives to present days.
Raiffeisen organisation choose this protective symbol as its trademark to indicate that their members are protected against economic dangers through their alliance and co-operation.
